Drawings, Mostly Pen & Watercolor

*These small pieces are only available as prints, from 4″x to 12″x12″ – Call me for details.

Angels Watching Over Us

The original is approximately w4″ x h5″ – ink & watercolor.

You might not think a tiny thing like an angel could help in a dangerous
situation. But, there they are, they whisper important things to you.
Warnings sometimes, or exactly where to put your feet, so you don’t fall.
They are always there watching over you!

I love the concept of angels but think of them as metaphors for the ever
present goodness, assurance, and guidance of the infinite Consciousness.
One thing I know for sure is that if you listen, you will hear them.

Angel Blessing the Earth #7

The original is approximately w5″ x h7″ – ink & watercolor.

I’ve created several variations of an Angel Blessing the Earth. Knowing that
everything is going to be alright is something that people need to be reminded
of.

Waiting for Guidance

The original is approximately w7″ x h6″ – ink & wash

I love sheep; they have a reputation for being followers. Hopefully, they
choose wise, loving, and kind leaders.

Friendly Cat

The original is approximately w3″ x h4″ – ink & watercolor.

I’ve been drawing these silly cats for years now. They come in handy for greetings, to
cheer people up, or any time a friendly face is needed.

Hiker, Reading a Nice Book

The original is approximately w4″ x h5″ – ink & watercolor.

Sometimes I make attempts at drawing realistically. This is one that turned out
pretty well, of a dear friend on a lovely, long hiking trip. Little sketchbook drawings
like this remind me of notable moments. They are rarely perfect, but they bring
back great memories. I remember the cool breeze in the warm woods or on the
beach. The sounds of the pen scratching away on the paper, the zipping up of
backpacks. The friends who love to read aloud, stride on ahead, read maps, or
make me laugh.

Invoking the Cat Clause

The original is approximately w4″ x h5″ – ink & watercolor.

We thought we were the only ones who knew about the Cat Clause. It turns
out there is a universal law that states that whoever shall have “The Cat” on, or
leaning upon their person, is excused from any tasks, including but not
limited to getting one’s coffee or tea refilled.

Dog Dreams

The original is approximately w3″ x h4″ – ink & watercolor.

One or two of my dear old dogs have been obsessed with tennis balls.
They will play until they drop. This one here is sound asleep, ready for the
next time she can coax someone into a game of fetch.
They were also great hiking companions, bringing me sticks and other interesting objects.

The Director

The original is approximately w4″ x h3″ – ink & watercolor.

This dear cat was lazing on a director’s chair in my studio, telling me exactly what
should happen next. A person has to stop and make a little drawing of something like this!

There is No Other Way

The original is approximately w 2.5″ x h 4″ – ink & watercolor.

The text came to me while holding one of my kitties and contemplating the idea of
ownership. It says:

“Twenty-five dollars I will pay you for this kitty, a fair price.”
“Alright, she’s yours, but you must understand, no one can own another being.
This money only buys you the right to feed and care for this kitty. You must win
her heart, her love, her respect. You earn that, she gives it to you. There is no
other way.”

That’s all for now.
